BEHIND BARZ highlights the recently passed Court Orders on the freedom of speech in drill music. This policing of speech is an attack on our youth’s human rights, yet we still like to focus on this umbrella term of ‘violence’ to categorise the genre. With your support we can help young men and women have the freedom of creative expression they deserve and break this stigma. The outcome of my work is a minimalist yet bold response to the current focus on drill from the media.
