Wallpaper* Custom Covers

Wallpaper* magazine’s custom covers project was the showpiece of its August 2010 Handmade Issue. The issue featured over 100 collaborations and products – from yachts to coffee blends, kitchens to crisps. Interactive designers Kin produced an online application enabling readers to design their own cover, using elements supplied by artists and illustrators Anthony Burrill, James Joyce, Nigel Robinson, Kam Tang and Hort. Readers then received the issue with the cover they designed themselves in the post. Over 21,000 unique covers were printed, bound and delivered, making this project a showcase for the positive integration of online and print.
