Villa Kanousan

This is a weekend house built high in the mountains near Tokyo. The house has four rooms on the first floor and four on the second, which divide the house’s rectangular solid into eight spaces. The partition walls and ceilings of these eight spaces are interrupted by six small cubes that create gaps in the walls and ceilings, providing visual connections between the various rooms. The angles of inclination of each of these cubes are determined by an algorithm.
