Tomorrow on Track Today

Réseau Ferré de France builds the French rail network. When massive engineering works were undertaken in 2011, and train services disrupted, explaining why the works were necessary and who was carrying them out became key. The idea for the film came from a simple insight. Every day, Réseau Ferré de France carries out a wonder: upgrading the network while keeping it running for four million passengers.Produced with a mix of tilt shift footage and 3D modelling, the film creates a magical world where reality and fiction mesh, and a new and poetic interpretation of engineering works is born.
