The Supporting Act

BBC One's Christmas film tells the story of a young girl preparing for the performance of her life. Inspiring, emotional and heartwarming in equal measure, the stop-motion animation was enhanced with facial expressions mapped on the puppets using CGI. The dance routine was choreographed in live action and then animators recreated the moves one painstaking frame at a time.
