Symposium Edward Hopper, Film and Modern Life
Symposium Edward Hopper, Film and Modern Life
The international ‘Edward Hopper, Film and Modern Life’ symposium was part of the Hopper exhibition at the Thyssen- Bornemisza Museum. The developmentof communication elements for the symposium and film cycle (programmes, posters, notebooks, identifiers) is articulated by the play on four shapes and colours borrowed from Hopper’s pictorial universe. These correspond to the projections of light in some of his paintings. The shapes and reflections of light on a dark background represent reciprocal influences between Hopper and film, in a game of mirror images.
