Out There: Architecture Beyond Building

Thonik provided all the graphics for the 11th International Architecture Biennale in Venice. The agency, in close collaboration with curator Aaron Betsky, was also responsible for the scenography of the Corderia, which featured 3D graphic walls related to the visual identity. Thonik’s 2D and 3D design was based on a chain of globes, alternating with universally recognisable angular house shapes, which provided opportunities for endless configurations and series in reference to the ornamentation and beauty of Venice itself.
