Not a Gun
Not a Gun
In America, Black people have been victims of police brutality for too long. So Goodby Silverstein & Partners created a campaign that sparks policy change around the issue. Launched in February 2020, NOT A GUN highlights the absurdity of how a candy bar in a white person’s hand turns into a gun when in a Black person's hand. The agency also printed a newspaper ad that was used as protest signs at a Trump rally, and political yard signs with the names of police brutality victims. The work resulted in a 900% increase in implicit bias inquiries for CCGF, and mandatory implicit bias training being issued by the Austin PD.
