Making Slough Happy
Making Slough Happy
What makes you happy? Do you find happiness at work, or among friends? Is religion or sex more important to your mental wellbeing? ‘Making Slough Happy’ is an innovative interactive TV programme that allows the viewer to explore how one's happiness changes through the course of a fictional day out in Slough. The programme is a conversation between the viewer and award-winning poet Ian McMillan. Each scene tackles a different theme, such as commuting, religion, or the amount of time one spends with friends. At the end, the viewer is asked to rate how he/she feels. Then, the viewer hears one of McMillan's poems that is perfectly tailored to his/her mood and designed to make them consider their own happiness.
