Goddess Experience Poster Series

A performance series written, directed, and performed by Ebony Payne-English needed a cohesive set of expertly crafted promotional materials to draw attention to the project centred around her experiences as a new mother and a woman of colour living with HIV. Just as Ebony repurposed her scars into something beautiful, Brunet-Garcia Advertising reclaimed ebony wood to create her profile in silhouette. The positive and negative woodcuts yielded two posters for each performance, symbolising the duality of self and its internal/external struggle.
