Bill It to Bezos is the 2022 Robin Hood story of a local community centre versus one of the most powerful companies in the world, combined with a clever technology twist. The Jane/Finch Centre (JFC) took advantage of a loophole in Twitch, the gamer streaming service owned by Amazon. Amazon Prime Members are given $3.50 to subscribe to a streamer, and any money that's unused goes right back to Amazon. So Angry Butterfly turned JFC into a verified Twitch streamer, in a campaign where none of the money donated comes from the donors themselves, but directly from Amazon – and therefore billionaire Jeff Bezos.
