BAD IDEA Issues 3 & 5
BAD IDEA Issues 3 & 5
Reinvigorating the form of narrative journalism, BAD IDEA magazine is the new stomping ground for ambitious young British writers, a braggadocious melting pot of tragedy, parties, love, death, cybersex and stretched cricket metaphors. With artwork by Neal Fox, the lead story of BAD IDEA 3 was the rise of new rave, a London youth movement experiencing its first taste of fame and money. The cover illustrates the self-proclaimed ‘neophilic preposterity’ of the new rave teenagers and their fluorescent cultural outpourings. With artwork by Chris Bianchi, BAD IDEA 5, a.k.a The Death Issue, was the magazine’s first themed issue, focusing on contemporary British attitudes to death and its manifestations. Stark and surreal, the cover image is a city boy skeleton.
