Around the World with the Bodoni Family

The Bodoni typeface has always been a favourite of mine. I love its balance of thin and broad lines and those long, level serifs which, together, suggest a great playfulness. I chose Bodoni to represent a typographic adventure which was to be at once witty and minimal and yet convey the idea of a journey from A to Z. The book uses the typeface to illustrate 26 destinations using only their initial letters. A showcase for design craft, the book was produced in a limited edition of 40 – a letterpress printed, hand-bound, around the world in 60 pages travelogue.
