Creativity, happening, live: five speakers, five fires, celebrating a decade of fireside creativity with Stranger Collective

Flickering light, spitting wood, candid conversations around the flames. Real-world, real-time, real people gathering in small groups around multiple fires to listen, question, share – sparking creative energy across multiple corners of a twilight garden…

FIVE small fires.

FIVE speakers from different creative territories – some expected, some deliberately surprising.

FIVE x FIVE intimate, open conversations where everyone can speak, question, and share – moving between fires to mix things up and meet new people along the way.

Trigger new connections, fresh provocations, ideas you wouldn’t have reached alone – and spark the kind of creative collisions and conversations that can’t happen online.

Speakers:
Fauzia Musa, Brand Strategy Leader and Writer
Steve Xoh, Artist
Yasmin Georgiou, Strategy Lead at William Joseph, Founder and host of Charity Book Club

10 years ago, Stranger Collective’s community gathered for the first Firelight – a simple, lo-fi happening sparked by the idea that conversation around dancing flames could illuminate new thinking, perspectives and creative possibilities.

Lighting Little Fires is how we turn ten: a special, one-off evening in collaboration with D&AD as part of their 2026 Dead or Alive series. We’re not debating the series provocation – is creativity dead or alive? – we’re demonstrating the answer.
