Hi, I’m Vanessa – a multidisciplinary creative born in Zimbabwe, where imagination was my first rebellion. I’m drawn to shadows we’re told to hide, weaving fantasy, myth and Gothic aesthetics to centre Black women as complex beings, not symbols of suffering. I love turning darkness into wonder. Like my mum always says, “Vanessa is not weird – she’s a limited edition.” And I agree... After all, what is life without whimsy?
