Mateus de Paula Santos is the Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of one of the world’s most awarded design and animation studios. A graduate in Graphic Design and Animation, he began his career at MTV Brazil. At just 17, Mateus and a group of friends launched the studio he still leads more than 30 years later. The studio’s distinctive visual language quickly drew the attention of the global advertising industry, leading agencies and brands around the world to seek out its work. Over the years, Mateus and his team have been recognized at major international festivals including Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, The One Show, and D&AD. Building on this success, Mateus expanded the studio into live-action filmmaking, creating a full-service production company capable of handling projects from concept to final delivery. His work as a live-action director has earned the same critical acclaim as his animation, with award-winning campaigns for global brands such as Coca-Cola, Adidas, Volkswagen, and Nike. In addition to his directing and leadership roles, Mateus has served as a jury member at leading international festivals including Cannes Lions, D&AD, and The One Show, and has taught at Miami Ad School.
