Eleonoor Jap Sam (1968) studied Design & Communications, as well as Art & Architecture History. From 1998 to 2002, she served as the director of DOCOMOMO International. She co-founded episode publishers vof, an independent publishing house in Rotterdam that focused on art, culture, architecture, and science, operating from 2002 to 2009. In 2009, she continued the press under her own name. Additionally, she has been a jury member for the Lensvelt de Arhitect Interior Award, the Hendrik Chabot Prize, and the Best Dutch Book Designs. In 2022, she was nominated for the Black Achievement Award in the Entrepreneurship category. Currently, she is the Chair of the Board of ArtTable Nederland, a board member of Errant Journal, and a member of the Supervisory Board of Nest Ruimte voor Kunst in The Hague.
