After studying physics at Durham University, Dougal began his career at The Leith Agency, Edinburgh, as a copywriter. In 2001 he moved to London to begin directing through Blink. Since then he has directed commercials for clients including Orange, Olympus, Becks, Vodaphone, the BBC, Coca-Cola, Amnesty International, Hovis and John Lewis. He received D&AD Yellow Pencils in 2006 for his Orange ‘Dance’ ad, in 2008 for Big Yellow Storage, in 2010 for his Government Fire Safety commercial, and in 2011 for his music video for The Temper Trap...
