Netflix wanted to acknowledge the unique role it played in a year that didn’t have much to celebrate. As the world spent 2020 stuck on the couch, people were still taken to other worlds through stories. In a tense climate, Netflix opted for a humorous living room musical parody that saw one fan go on a literal journey of watching every show available. The three-minute music video looked back at the emotions of 2020, taking inspiration from fan tweets and turning them into relatable lyrics.
