Photographer Giles Revell was commissioned by ‘The Times Eureka Magazine’ to capture the intricate beauty of some of our medicinal plants. In collaboration with Dr Lauren Howard at the Natural History Museum, Giles was able to produce micro-CT scanner footage in layers through each of the plants. Stills from the footage were featured in the May issue to coincide with ‘The Times’ Garden’s entry into the RHS Chelsea Flower show. The animated sequences of the rose and poppy footage appeared as an interactive slideshow in ‘The Times’ iPad edition and online. They can be seen at www.stellapyeblog.com.
