Tree Drawings

Award: Wood Pencil

Wood Pencil / Direct / Addressed Direct Mail Very Low Volume 1-500 / 2008

Trees are essential to life. They limit the CO2 quota, provide a habitat for animals and, offer welcome shade. But these are not the only reasons to protect trees; we should also do so on account of their beauty. We felt that it was worth reminding people of that, and wanted to do so with depth, instead of using nicely shot forest images. In co-operation with British artist Tim Knowles, we prepared a series of posters. We attached pencils to tree branches and when they moved in the wind, unique works of art were created. These fascinating pictures were displayed and sent to potential supporters.
