Coca-Cola and the agency (Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam) asked PSYOP to imagine the world inside an average Coke vending machine, and to tell the story of what happens when someone puts a coin in. We imagined, designed and created a magical land where deliciously twisted creatures labour to fulfil their destinies by infusing joy into each bottle of Coke. Then we told the story of how the tiny denizens of the Happiness Factory pull together in order to craft and launch a Coke whenever currency is inserted. The challenge was to deliver on 'happiness' with both character designs and storytelling, while never making it saccharine.
