The Hero puts The Impossible Dream record on and leaves his trailer miming the words. He climbs onto a small motorcycle and drives away. As his journey progresses the Hero’s vehicles change from a larger motorbike, to a convertible car gradually building up to a F1 racing car. From here we leave land for water with the car turning into a powerboat. The ad climaxes as the boat heads off a waterfall. The music builds as the Hero disappears into the waters spray. Out of the fall appears a Honda hot air balloon with Hero inside. He holds a hand out in a triumphant manner still miming the words with enthusiasm. The Impossible Dream is a warm, mellow, idealistic and entertaining ad without being hilarious or slapstick. It also contains a number of elements of irony and was shot to achieve a natural realism whilst striving to retain dream like qualities. The locations are key to creating the sense of epic. Each location fitting the environment for the vehicle used.
