We were challenged to breathe life into the retro gaming community on Twitter through a PR-first stunt. The main goal was to celebrate retro gaming and spark new conversations. Our first step was to understand retro gaming and the nuances that make it so popular. Cheat codes are a huge element, but we needed a reason for that to be relevant. Kazuhisa Hashimoto, the creator of the famous Konami Code, recently passed away. This was the perfect opportunity to honor his work. Our idea hides classic retro games on Twitter that are unlocked using his very own Konami Code.
