Matthew studied Graphic Design at Batley School of Art & Design before graduating from Huddersfield University with a degree in Creative Imaging/Advertising – originally making him a kind of mutant Art Director/Designer hybrid.

Eventually working at agencies across the UK and US, he established his career at the influential design agency ATTIK where he created identities and campaigns for a wide variety of global brands, including Coca-Cola and Adidas. From there he went on to create and consult for clients such as Canon, Dentsu America, RARE, Microsoft, PONY, Toyota, and some guy named Dizzee Rascal.

An offshoot of his obsession with design and videogames, Matthew is the creator and curator of Game Paused – a crowdfunded project that brought together more than 400 artists/designers from around the world, including the founder of Atari [Nolan Bushnell], in a visual celebration of video games and gaming culture.

Anything else?

Oh yes - his work has been recognized at D&AD, Design Week, Cannes Lions, and Red Dot Awards.

Should we mention his time as CDO of video games company Analogue?

Probably.

Ok, is that it?

Not quite. I reckon we should finish with the fact Matt recently founded creative agency The SUPERULTRARARE with copywriter John Goddard - working on creative projects for The Coca-Cola Company, LVHM and updating Matt’s bio.

Cool?

Yeah, cool.

Contact Matthew.
