Valerie Geiger FRSA is a typographic designer working in brand communications and visual identity. After working in agencies and in-house in the UK and abroad, Valerie set up her own studio. The studio has a broad range of clients, but specialises in design and communications for charities and the public sector.
She is secretary and committee member of the Typographic Circle, an organisation that brings together anyone with an interest in design and typography for diverse lectures by well-known industry speakers. She is co-editor of Typocircle’s award-winning magazine Circular.
Valerie both teaches and practises typography. She is a visiting lecturer at UCA Canterbury and the University of Hertfordshire where she teaches typography, editorial design and professional development. Her teaching and research interests include contemporary type design and typographic practice, editorial design and the visual communication of complex data.
Valerie trained as a typographer at The University of Reading and completed a Masters in graphic design at The London College of Communication.
