Awards Sales Executives

Reporting to: 
 Senior Campaign Marketing Manager

Location: E1,

London Salary: £18,000 per annum pro rata

Office Hours: 09:30 to 17:30


Fixed term contract: 8 month contract (with the possibility of extension or finding a permanent position within D&AD)

Job Objectives:

An exciting opportunity has become available for proactive and commercially driven bi-lingual / multi-lingual sales executives who are fluent in one or more of the following languages: (Brazilian) Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Danish, Spanish, Swedish and Mandarin. Your primary objective will be to drive entries for D&AD’s international Professional Awards. Initially, you will actively research award-winning talent and exceptional work from the design, advertising and digital industries as well as validate leads before promoting and communicating the benefits of entering the 2016 D&AD Professional Awards.

During the sales phase, you will be making around 50 targeted telesales calls per day to your researched leads, encouraging them to enter D&AD’s highly regarded and sought after awards within the creative industries.

The role:

The role will appeal to candidates fluent in one or more of the above listed languages, in addition to English, who are inspired by D&AD’s Awards and have an interest in the design, advertising and digital industries. Candidates with well-honed research skills, confidence and determination to cold-call and sell over the phone and who are familiar with the work of D&AD should definitely apply. Previous telesales experience is desirable but not essential, as you will receive professional sales training to support you in this role.

You will need: 

  • Fluent in one or more of the following languages: (Brazilian) Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Danish, Spanish, Swedish and Mandarin
  • Speak and write English fluently
  • Passionate about the creative, design and digital industries and awareness of the agencies and studios within the advertising, design, digital and production worlds ·
  • Confident and friendly telephone manner
  • Good customer service skills

Professional Learning and Development Design Manager

The role

This role is pivotal in supporting the Professional Development team to identify and deliver learning opportunities for creative professionals.

Purpose of job

  • Develop new and existing course content for the wider creative industries.
  • Facilitate the delivery of the D&AD learning programme ensuring quality control throughout.
  • Build strategies to create new revenue lines, and grow existing commercial activities, to achieve annual targets.

Awards Enrty Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the D&AD Awards and Operations team working across our prestigious Awards programmes.

As Awards Entry Manager you will be responsible for the delivery and project management of Awards entry projects.

In this diverse role you’ll be responsible for building relationships with D&AD entrants, preparing content and documentation for the call for entry period; managing a large temporary team to process the thousands of entries we receive each year; ensuring entrants receive a high level of customer service from you and your team; problem solving issues that arise with entries; coordinating online judging and managing the set up of entries at judging events and much more.

You’ll need experience in project management, managing large teams of people and have a record of delivering excellent customer service. We need you to be organised, reliable, and flexible, someone who can get things done and pride themselves on their communications skills. You’ll also have to be confident in using IT systems in order to use our many internal and external facing systems.

Events & Special Projects Manager

Reporting to: 
 Senior Manager, Events and Special Projects

Location: E1, London

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Office Hours: 09:30 to 17:30


Job Objectives:

Development and delivery of D&AD’s New Blood Festival to a world class standard. In particular, this role will have the overall responsibility of ensuring that the New Blood Exhibition is delivered on time, on budget and in line with the objectives of D&AD and any third party supporters/sponsors. Management of off stage logistics for the Annual Events Programme.

You will need

  • Experience of Programme and Project management
  • Experience in researching and developing ongoing programmes
  • Highly organized with good attention to detail
  • A minimum of 3 years Event Management experience
  • Proven track record for delivering events on budget and on time
  • Be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • IT literate – Excel, Word (knowledge of Gmail would be ideal but not essential as training will be given)
  • A keen interest in Design & Advertising (ideal but not essential)

Partnership Manager

Reporting to: 
 Partnership Director 

Location: E1, London

Salary: £27,000 per annum plus 3% bonus on revenue generated potential £7k +

Office Hours: 09:30 to 17:30


Job Objectives:

To secure and maintain sponsorship revenue for D&AD programmes. The revenue of which delivers funding for the D&AD New Blood Programme, allowing the company to innovate and support new talent.

Key tasks: 

  • Actively generate sponsorship revenue and leads for D&AD New Blood and Award Programmes
  • Develop valuable and content rich sponsorship packages for our clients
  • Generate 250K+ in revenue for D&AD
  • Help grow and manage a portfolio of new and existing clients including, Facebook, Uniqlo and Airbnb.
  • Work with other D&AD teams to innovate and identify opportunities to further client engagement
  • Manage key accounts as assigned by the Team Director, including drafting proposals, negotiating and implementing deals

You will need:

  • Proven sales track record
  • A natural networker with the ability to establish and develop key business relationships in a variety of situations
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Effective influencer and persuader
  • A team worker who has experience of working within a multi disciplined team in the achievement of a common goal.
  • The commitment and motivation to succeed and meet objectives, both personal and business related
  • Ability to demonstrate persistence and energy when required to meet or exceed well defined goals.
