Hutchwilco is New Zealand’s oldest maker of lifejackets. But its customers keep drowning, because fishermen don’t like to reveal their favourite fishing spots – and so are hard to locate if they get in trouble. The app ‘Secret Fishing Spots’ allows fishermen to log their secret spots without sharing them. Then if they don’t come home, a loved one can access their account, see where they like to go and send coordinates to rescue services.
