Directed and produced by Animatório, Toy Soldier is the tale of a little plastic soldier’s heroic journey through a child’s bedroom. Surrounded by broken toys in what appears to be a battlefield, he drags himself towards the remote, in an effort to turn on the TV set and save the toys from destruction. From the moment Cartoon Network sent us the script we had two months for production until the online delivery. The biggest challenge we faced, storytelling-wise, was how to build anticipation without revealing the soldier’s goal and the spot’s conclusion.
