Things Our Friends Have Written on the Internet
We’d been thinking for a while about how to combine the best of all things digital with what’s great about analogue technologies, when we discovered how cheap it is to print newspapers. So we took some blog posts our friends had written and printed them as a newspaper. We learned a lot about combining web tropes with print conventions, about negotiating withprinters, and about what to do with 1,000 newspapers when you only have 23 friends. And then we took all this and transformed it into a new business: Newspaper Club, a web service that helps people make their own newspapers.
