Visions of the Universe Stamps
The Visions of the Universe stamps were specially commissioned by Royal Mail to celebrate 200 years of the Royal Astronomical Society (RAS), featuring astronomical phenomena discovered and investigated by the UK’s leading astronomers. Briefed to explore a treatment that photography couldn’t provide, True North worked with experts from RAS and illustrator Robert Ball, using colour and composition to convey a sense of drama, and put viewers up close to the phenomena. Colour was critical to create an epic quality and vivid, dynamic look and feel.
