Live Caption
For the 466 million people who are deaf or hard of hearing, mobile content may be entirely inaccessible. Unlike televisions, mobile phones do not have built-in captioning for every ‘channel’ or app. Live Caption is a new feature in Android that isolates spoken audio from any app and automatically generates captions. Users tap to start Live Caption’s machine learning model, which works in real-time. Social media, podcasts, audio messages – anything that has audio can now have captions.
