Printed by Parkinson's
Printed by Parkinson’s is an art collection created by the first machine affected with a human disease. Parkinson’s has over 40 symptoms which always develop differently. The lack of awareness leads to stigma and isolation. To change this, patients were asked to name an object that became challenging to use due to Parkinson’s. These were 3D printed by printers affected by their personal kinetic or neurological data, visualising the impact Parkinson’s is having on people’s daily lives. The collection reignited a global debate on the importance of more understanding and research.
