British Library Research
For the square signage space in the main British Library lobby, Tom Sharp was asked to create a branded piece of writing listing the Library's offer. The banner had to create an emotional response, bringing warmth to a brand that can often be seen as functional. Sharp took an academic aspect of the British Library’ mission – research – and played with it. There’s a joke about cats, a nod to Serge Gainsbourg and an ending that is bigger than what a library does. It was shared online thousands of times.
