Fading Stories – Pass Them On
The Fading Stories exhibition at Fotografiska in Stockholm portrayed 23 survivors of the Holocaust. The idea was to capture the stories of the survivors before they fade, ensuring that future generations still get a true and personal statement of what happened. There were no photographs in the physical space, instead the visitors experienced the exhibition through typographic posters and an AR app. The poster framework is based on quotes from the survivors. The aesthetics are inspired by censored documents and shows how easily stories can be fragmented and corrupted.
