For Black History Month, Google wanted to celebrate culture-defining moments in American history through the lens of the black history-makers who shaped it, and remind us all that black history IS American history. To do so, its data scientists combed through 15+ years of data, (2004 - 2019) to identify the most-searched black history-makers in America. Google told the Most Searched story with a 90-second film, an immersive website experience, digital OOH, print billboards, press ads, and more. To date, the film has been viewed over 71M times, and the campaign reached 99% positive sentiment overall.
