Breaking the Silence
Many times, Czech veterans, dissidents, political prisoners and others in opposition to the ruling regime found themselves in situations where only staying silent could save their lives. This campaign for the National History Archive, the largest public database of witness stories in Europe, is saying that now we need them to do the opposite, encouraging them to speak up so that their stories can be preserved for future generations. The campaign consists of three authentic stories from three different decades of the 20th century.
