We created a zoetrope cake that tells the story of a small café business growing into a multi-national empire with the help of CA ANZ. The creatives at JOY really wanted interaction between different tiers of the cake. So together we developed ideas like chocolate latte cups filling with icing dripping down from the cake above. The biggest challenge was creating ideas that told each part of the CA story in a zoetrope friendly 32 steps. This forced us to be clever and succinct with our ideas. And making the cake in CG meant the render times were high but the calorie count stayed low.
