I decided to portray three archetypes in the form of photography. Following a three-act structure, I wanted to create a clear depiction of the everyday. Firstly, ‘Rags to Riches’: I made a conscious decision to use the same model in each section, creating a sense of a cycle between the homeless and the affluent. Secondly, ‘Voyage and Return’: from a mother’s perspective, using a family with a father that works away, something widely relatable. Lastly, ‘Tragedy: the framing of this image is compact when compared to the others to represent the isolation of depression and emphasise inner struggle.
