Nick is a member of D&AD and the company is a member of the Advertising Producers Association. He has sat on many advertising awards juries, chaired a Radio Craft Awards for the Radio Advertising Bureau and the Music and Sound Awards 2015, and was also a jury member for Bafta for Best Sound in a Feature Film for consecutive years from 1997.
He continues to engineer and is still enormously enthusiastic with the diversity of scripts he works on. He helps the Radio Advertising Bureau with creative and production seminars and was proud to be the recipient of a Fellowship Award of the Radio Advertising Bureau in 2004 and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. The company was also delighted to have been voted Commercial Facility of the Year by the UK Screen Conch Awards 2009.
Nick prides himself on his capacity to get the best possible voice performance from an actor. Testament to this was his recent involvement in the English post-production of an Argentinian feature animation film entitled ‘The Unbeatables’, for which he was the UK Cast Studio Director, as well as managing the recording and dubbing process through the studio and taking an active role in the casting. The film had its first Gala screening in October 2013 at the London Film Festival and received huge praise. It was released nationwide in the summer 2015.
