I am a designer that is proactive in seeking out
briefs that, above all else, enact positive change
in the world. This is why the D&AD brief from
Barclays to design a banking solution that would
bridge the gap between users mental health and
their finances appealed to me so much, a project
I am happy to say won the D&AD Graphite Pencil.
The University of Leeds saw the completion of my
dissertation focusing on links between creative
output and accessibility concerning web design.
Which helped me to bring academic thinking to
my design work.
Enough of the sales pitch. Fundamentally I am a
person of the outdoors. Hiking, climbing and
kayaking (when I can find one) is the game. This
helps fuel my other interests in landscape
photography and painting (need a suitable studio
first). However, a BBQ and a cold one with friends
and family is just as good.
