After recently graduating with a 1st class honours in illustration, I am ready to pursue a career as a visual artist and freelance illustrator. My illustrative style is focussed on strong mark making and expressive linework, balanced and controlled by a clear graphic structure. I use a range of mixed media to get these results. I am an experienced printmaker, particularly with silk screen and most of my bigger works tend to veer in this direction. I achieve my textured quality by using methods and materials usually more associated with lithography. I am also skilled in digital software and will regularly use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for more graphic projects, editorial or development work.
I like to challenge myself by working on a wide variety of briefs which has resulted in a portfolio of numerous different forms of contemporary and illustrative media such as posters, prints, books, logo design and large abstract sculptures. This demonstrates the breadth of my creative interest. Whilst I studied as an illustrator my aspirations are much more expansive than that. I am keen to meet and work with like-minded creatives willing to experiment and stretch the boundaries of illustration and arts practice.
