Joanna joined FCB Brazil in September 2012. She was named the number 1 creative woman in advertising according to the American site Business Insider, declared a “Woman to Watch” by Advertising Age, listed number 5 among the most awarded Creative Directors by the Big Won Report, and was part of the 2014 Ad Age Creativity 50. In 2015, Joanna was listed as one of the 30 most creative people in advertising according to Business Insider.
Joanna began her professional advertising career as a copywriter trainee at Ogilvy (1996), and worked as a copywriter at DPZ (1997-99), W/Brasil (1999-02) and Africa Advertising (2002-12), three iconic ad agencies in Brazil. The product of two academic powerhouses, Joanna graduated with an Arts degree from Brasilia University (UnB), and earned her postgraduate degree in Advertising & Marketing from ESPM, one of Brazil’s first institutes of higher learning, known for academic excellence in communication, marketing and business management.
