As an advertising creative Rodrigo Saavedra travelled the world working for agencies like Mother London, WK Amsterdam, Santo Buenos Aires and Africa São Paulo – before deciding to focus on directing in 2013.
A natural storyteller, Rodrigo has directed films for global brands such as Corona, Budweiser, Nissan, Chivas Regal, Mizuno and Volkswagen, which picked up a Silver at this year’s Cannes Lions. His latest spot for Scrabble scored a bronze this year too, after it quickly went viral, with Time magazine describing it as “the perfect love story for word nerds”
This year Rodrigo premiered his branded short film 'The Red Stain' at Sundance. The film was a comedy written and directed by him for the Francis Ford Coppola Winery.
