William Skeaping is an activist with Extinction Rebellion.
Having studied Art History, he started out as an early employee at Google UK, leaving to join Lex Records as label manager and A&R, working in London and NYC to take specialist content projects to the mainstream.
Developing brand-partnered content projects with rappers like MF DOOM and graphic novelist Alan Moore led to a tour of duty in advertising at McCann London before going freelance as a brand strategist, frequently working with start-ups.
Will briefly tried to escape from the climate and ecological crisis by moving to Copenhagen but came rushing back to the UK for the launch of XR, immediately going full-time in the movement's media & messaging team. He also co-founded Culture Declares Emergency and co-edited Extinction Rebellion's best-selling handbook 'This Is Not A Drill' (Penguin).
He is currently working to bring together collectives of CEOs and leaders to shift industries, particularly targeting fashion and advertising and on creative outputs across art, music and video, including his own content start-up exploring the world's most interesting archives.
