I am standing as a candidate for the Board of Trustees as a practitioner working in advertising.

How would I support D&AD over the next 3 years ?

My view is this is a symbiotic relationship that needs to be amplified and celebrated. Making D&AD a more visible presence in society is the best way to support D&AD. It needs to be known outside of the creative industries, much like BAFTA is for film. It in turn needs to more visibly champion creativity in wider society.
Society (and government) as a whole still doesn't understand the power of creativity and of the creative industries. I would make it my mission that more people in more walks of life get that.

I started out in the late 80s as a Creative writing ads.

Since then I have experienced working abroad. Specifically in the new South Africa in 94.

I have worked under the likes of John Webster, Tony Cox, Trevor Beattie and John Hegarty.

I have led an international account as the Global Creative Director on Philips.

I have launched a successful network creative agency in London.

I have now founded my own agency in London and am once again a Creative writing ads.
