James has had an extremely rich and varied career – he's been everything from an architect and accountant, to a radio producer and musician. He entered the world of 'digital' right at the start when companies were just beginning to realise the internet's full potential – and were moving away from a few simple, static html pages, towards more sophisticated platforms.
He spent 10 years at CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy) designing and developing websites that provided statistical, legal and financial information to local authorities. He also migrated their established services, previously in print, to online.
Now James heads up the digital and business intelligence side of D&AD, playing his part in informing, educating and inspiring the people who work in and around the creative industries.
