Dinesh Sonak (Dutch/Indian) is Managing Director of ADCN - the club for creativity in advertising and design in the Netherlands. ADCN is a non-profit organization, founded in 1966 as Art Directors Club Netherlands and based in Amsterdam. ADCN's mission is to educate creative talent & professionals, accelerate creative leadership & culture and stimulate creative ideas with positive impact to business, culture and society. ADCN's programs include talks, workshops, masterclasses, courses as well as the Dutch Creativity Awards and Dutch Creativity Festival.
Dinesh is the founder of Banyan Tree, a strategy and innovation shop for ventures and ideas at the intersection of creativity, commerce and culture. He has worked for Heineken, THNK School of Creative Leadership and frog design in Europe, Africa and India. He is a Board member of A'DAM&Co, the club for the creative industry in Amsterdam, the founder of Circular Brands and the co-founder of the Saaf India Foundation.
Dinesh graduated in economics from the University of Groningen and was trained in strategy, innovation and arts at IMD, Stanford Business School, Central Saint Martins, London College of Communication, Sotheby's and IDEO U. He has led creativity and design-thinking sessions at What Design Can Do, India Design Forum and Cannes Lions.
In his free time, he enjoys tennis, street photography, creative writing, graphic design and the books of PG Wodehouse.
