Daren has advertising in his blood. His father ran one of the UK's most successful agencies in the 70's and 80's, so it didn't surprise anyone when he chose to study Media & Advertising at Watford College.
He spent several years learning the trade at Y&R, Carat, MediaCom, MediaVest, before finding an agency that matched his passion for planning and ambition to find a better way for clients.
Across fifteen years at PHD, he has headed up some of the most prestigious accounts in the UK, including Cadbury and the BBC.
He became Managing Director in 2007 and helped the agency win an unprecedented haul of new business, including Kraft, British Heart Foundation, Cadbury, Dyson, Expedia, eHarmony and Confused.
Following one of PHD's most successful ever years, where it gained the accolades of both Campaign and Marketing Magazine's Agency of the Year, he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in January 2011.
In 2014, PHD was recognised as the 18th best company in the UK, the highest placed position of any marketing services business. This feat was surpassed in 2015 when it moved to number 16.
He is passionate about developing talent and regularly speaks about leadership and diversity in the work place.
