JD Jurentkuff, Group Creative Director at Media Arts Lab.
Based in Los Angeles since 2002, his big break was landing a jr. copywriter position where he wrote brochures for Hawaiian resorts he had never visited. This led to his next gig where he wrote website copy for sports cars he had never driven. Since then he has had the pleasure to work with brands and products he knows, loves and actually uses including PlayStation, Volkswagen and Apple.
During his time at Media Arts Lab, JD has helmed the launch of a couple of iPhones, including the iPhone 7 and it’s Practically Magic Campaign. Additionally, he was a creative and creative lead for two of Apple’s most awarded holiday films Misunderstood and Share Your Gifts. Most recently, he has provided creative leadership at MAL for Apple’s social initiatives including the @Apple Instagram handle and Apple YouTube channel.
In just the past 5 years JD has received 85 major advertising awards including an Emmy for Most Outstanding Commercial and the gold or top award from Cannes, The Webbys, One Show, D&AD, Art Directors Club and the Andys.
